General Terms and Conditions
Introduction
These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter: GTC) apply to the legal relationships established on the Company’s website www.cameleontextil.com (hereinafter: website) by accepting the GTC.
The purpose of these GTC is to set out the rights and obligations related to contracts concluded electronically through the website between the Company, as defined by the Civil Code, and the User, including the Consumer, as well as legal persons and organizations without legal personality who do not qualify as consumers, and to provide Users with information about all important facts and circumstances relating to the creation of the contract and to the provision of information society services.
The rights and obligations set out in these GTC concerning Users apply exclusively to Consumers as defined by the Civil Code.
The GTC, as a contractual term, has been predetermined unilaterally by the Company for the purpose of concluding multiple contracts, without the participation of the User, and its content has not been individually negotiated by the Company and the other party using the services of the website.
The products available for purchase through the website are available to those who have reviewed and accepted the content of the GTC before concluding the contract.
The subjects of the rights and obligations set out in the GTC and their definitions are as follows:
- Company: a person acting within the scope of their profession, independent occupation or business activity.
- User: a natural person, legal person or organization without legal personality who/which uses an information society service.
- Consumer: a natural person acting outside the scope of their profession, independent occupation or business activity.
The content of these GTC has been prepared in accordance with the applicable legislation, in particular:
- Act CLV of 1997 on electronic commerce services and consumer protection,
- Act CVIII of 2001 on certain issues of information society services,

General provisions
Language of the contract
The language of these General Terms and Conditions, the website, administration and complaint handling is Hungarian.
Form of the contract, filing and subsequent accessibility
From a legal point of view, orders placed on the website (electronic order forms) are not considered written declarations, but legal declarations made by implied conduct. Since acceptance of the GTC does not qualify as a written contract, the Company does not individually file the contract concluded with the User, but records the date of conclusion of the contract and stores, and makes available on the website, all current and repealed GTC documents (with their effective date and version number), so that the contract remains accessible to both the Company and the User at any later time.
The content of the GTC is primarily available in text format on the homepage of the Company’s website. In order to ensure that the GTC can be stored in unchanged form, the Company also publishes the GTC in PDF format. The Company provides the GTC with the date of publication and a version number, and in the event of amendment publishes the amended GTC. The amended GTC shall enter into force only if the User gives express consent to it, which the User may provide by accepting the GTC during the next purchase.
Code of conduct
The Company has not joined any code of conduct under the law on the prohibition of unfair commercial practices against consumers; therefore, no code of conduct is available in relation to the commercial practices of this website.
Operation of digital content and interoperability with hardware and software
The website uses the HTTP protocol to display web documents to the User over the Internet on its HTML-format website.
The images, graphic elements, video and audio clips and other data transmitted in this manner (based on the HTTP protocol) are accessible and displayable through any modern browser (the currently latest versions of known browsers) on any device capable of running such browsers.
In order to ensure an appropriate user experience, the User must ensure that, in addition to using a suitable browser, an Internet connection of adequate speed is available.
Purchasing on the website presupposes that the User is aware of the technical and technological limitations of the Internet and accepts the possibility of errors associated with its use.
The Company is not liable for faulty transmission of data over the Internet or for Internet-related operational errors that prevent smooth purchasing, regardless of the cause of such errors.
Digital content and applicable technical protection measures
Use of the website does not pose a risk to the User’s computer; however, the Company recommends that the User use antivirus software and install security updates for the operating system. Protecting the data stored on the User’s computer is the User’s responsibility.
Anyone may place a link to the website on their own website without the Company’s separate consent. It is prohibited to place a link in such a way that the Website appears as part of another website.
Products available for purchase
Products available for purchase on the website
The Company provides detailed information on the website about the name of the product and the essential characteristics of the products, including the price, and, where necessary, the unit price and additional costs (especially costs charged for delivery and packaging), and displays the photo(s) of the product. The images shown on the product pages may in some cases differ from reality and may serve as illustrations.
The prices displayed for the products are in Hungarian forints, include the VAT prescribed by law and the packaging cost, but do not include the home delivery fee and, in the case of cash-on-delivery payment, the cash-handling fee, which are payable in addition to the gross price.
If a promotional price is displayed, the Company fully informs the User about the promotion and its parameters.
General order of purchasing
Orders may be placed through the website only with registration, 24 hours a day.
Making a contractual declaration aimed at ordering a product or service (acceptance of the GTC) always entails a payment obligation!
Process of concluding the contract
Steps and technical conditions of concluding the contract
- The product available for purchase can be placed in the cart by clicking the “Add to cart” button or the button with the same wording on the product page. Some products are available with several parameters; in such cases the necessary size, color, etc. must be selected, followed by the desired quantity according to the unit of measure specified for the given product. Several pieces of a product may be purchased at the same time.
- After adding products to the cart, the products placed in the cart can be opened by clicking the “Cart” button located in the header of the website, where the products in the cart can be deleted and their quantities modified. The cart can also be opened at any time during the purchasing process by using the cart icon located in the upper right part of the website.
- Cart contents
- The User may modify the quantity of the products in the cart as desired (by rewriting the quantity or selecting it from the drop-down list). It is important that, if the quantity is modified, the “Update cart” button must be clicked so that the content of the cart is updated. A product can be deleted by clicking the small “Trash” icon at the end of the row of the product to be deleted.
- The total gross amount of the products in the cart can be found next to “Subtotal”, the delivery fee next to “Delivery”, and the total amount payable next to “Total”.
- If the User wishes to continue shopping, they may do so by clicking the icon in the upper left corner or the “Category” menu item. If the User wishes to complete the purchase, they must click the “Checkout” button.
- Checkout
- Login
- At checkout, an already registered User can log in (if not already logged in) by clicking the “Click here to log in” text. After clicking, the username or e-mail address and password must be entered, then the “Login” button must be clicked.
- Registration
- If the User has not yet registered but wishes to become a registered member, the checkbox before the “Create an account?” text under “Billing details” must be ticked (this initiates registration together with the purchase).
- If the User does not wish to log in or register, they may also purchase as a guest (without registration).
- Billing and shipping details
- The User can enter billing details at checkout, and if delivery is requested to an address different from the billing address, the checkbox before the “Ship to a different address?” text must be ticked, after which the requested address details must be entered.
- For registered Users, if they log in, these details appear automatically and do not need to be entered again; however, if there has been a change, the data can be modified.
- In the shipping details, the “Order notes” section can be used to provide comments intended for the courier or the Company, such as: call me on my mobile upon arrival, gate bell number 4, or that the order should be fulfilled on a fixed date, etc.
- Order contents and payment information
- Here the order details can be reviewed again, including the name of the goods ordered, their gross amount (subtotal), the shipping fee, and the total gross amount payable.
- If the User wishes to modify the order, they must return to the cart and correct it in the manner described above. If the User finds everything in order, they must select the payment method.
- The appropriate payment method can be selected by clicking the small circle before the listed options. After selection, the User receives further information about the chosen payment method.
- Closing the order
- Once the User has selected the payment method, they must accept the GTC and, if creating a user account together with the order, declare that they have read and understood the Privacy Notice by clicking (ticking) the small checkbox before the relevant declaration.
- To close the order, the User must click the “Submit order” button.
- Confirmation
- After the order has been submitted, the order is confirmed on the website, where the User who placed the order can review the order-related data once again.
- The customer is not able to pay for the order immediately after placing it.
- We will notify the customer by e-mail regarding payment of the exact amount.
- After activation of the order, the User receives confirmation of the consumer contract by the Company by e-mail without delay, but no later than within 48 hours (hereinafter: confirmation). The confirmation contains the name of the purchased product, its unit of measure, quantity, unit price, total value, cash on delivery as the payment method and the delivery cost (the delivery cost includes the parcel delivery fee, the cash-on-delivery handling fee and packaging), as well as links to the applicable procedural/termination information and to download the withdrawal/termination declaration form.
- The data of the concluded contract are final and cannot be modified by the User after submission.
- If the confirmation is not received by the User within the prescribed deadline, the User is released from the offer commitment or contractual obligation. The order and its confirmation are deemed to have arrived at the Company and at the User when they become accessible to them. The Company excludes its liability for confirmation if the confirmation does not arrive on time because the User provided an incorrect e-mail address during the order process, or because the storage space of the User’s e-mail account is full and cannot receive messages.
- Orders are processed on business days between 10:00 and 16:00.
- The Company reserves the right to reject already confirmed orders in part or in full. Partial performance may take place only after consultation with the User.
- If, during processing, it becomes clear that the order cannot be fulfilled, the Company rejects the order and sends notification of this and of the reason for rejection to the User’s e-mail address. After rejection, the User may place a new order on the website.
- If the Company fails to perform its contractual obligation because the product specified in the contract is not available, the Company shall immediately inform the User thereof, and the Company shall refund the amount paid by the User without delay, but no later than within thirty days. Fulfilment of this obligation does not exempt the Company from other consequences of breach of contract.
- The User qualifying as a Consumer may, where possible in relation to the purchased product, exercise the right of withdrawal under the withdrawal rules.
Correction of data entry errors
The goods placed in the cart and the parameters selectable during the order process (especially type and quantity) may be modified if necessary. The User can modify the entered data after entering the cart, at any time during the purchasing process before submitting (activating) the order, and also on the final review page of the order process.
In addition, the Company ensures that data entry errors can be recognized by displaying an error message in the case of incomplete or incorrect data entry (inappropriate characters).
Payment, carriage, performance deadline and delivery
Payment
Cash on delivery
You may choose to pay the total amount of the product and the shipping fee in cash personally to the courier at the same time as receiving the goods during courier delivery of the ordered product within Hungary.
15.2.2. Cash or bank card payment in our store
You have the option to pay for the product in cash or by bank card in our store.
15.2.3. Advance bank transfer
We send an invoice copy by e-mail, on the basis of which the bank transfer can be made. After the purchase price has been received in our account, the ordered goods may be collected at our premises or delivered. The original copy of the invoice is handed over together with the goods.
15.2.4. Online payment
When finalizing your order, you may choose from various online options and pay your invoice in our webshop.
For all payment methods, payment is made in Hungarian forints or euros.
Performance deadline
In the case of product sales, the Company fulfils its obligation to deliver the product within 2-4 business days, provided that the ordered product is in stock.
The performance deadline for orders of products stored in our external warehouse is 1-2 weeks. In our confirmation – by telephone or e-mail – (not in the automatic confirmation) we provide precise information about the expected delivery time and circumstances of the ordered products.
Carriage
In the case of product delivery, the package contains the ordered product.
The package contains the first copy of the order invoice, which we can forward electronically if necessary in the event that the product destination is not the same as the financial department.
Packages are delivered on business days between 8:00 and 17:00.
Delivery/carriage fee: Weight-based settlement with GLS partner company.
Delivery in the case of product purchase
Delivery means handing over the goods to the User. If the User cannot arrange receipt of the goods within the period specified in the confirmation by the Company, the User may designate another adult person in writing (by e-mail) after the confirmation as a person authorized to receive the goods on their behalf.
If the delivery address or the note related to receipt is unclear, the Company contacts the User by telephone. In such cases, delivery is arranged only after the data necessary for delivery have been clarified following the above consultations.
The User is obliged to inspect the package in the presence of the courier upon delivery, and if any damage is detected on the products or packaging, the User is obliged to request that a report be drawn up; in the event of damage, the User is not obliged to accept the package. The Company does not accept subsequent complaints without a report.
Delivery obstacle and its financial consequences
A delivery obstacle occurs if neither the User nor (if applicable) the person authorized to receive the goods is present at the specified delivery location and time within the time interval indicated in the confirmation. In such a case, the Company or its carriage partner attempts to contact the User – first on site, by telephone in the absence of an immediate response, and then at the provided e-mail address – in order to agree on a new place and time for delivery. If contact cannot be established, the Company is entitled to withdraw from the contract, of which it sends written notification to the Consumer at the e-mail address.
If the obstacle to delivery is that the person designated by the User as authorized to receive the goods has not yet reached the age of 18, or this cannot be established with complete certainty, the Company or its parcel delivery agent attempts further consultation with the User as set out above, and if this is unsuccessful, withdraws from the contract.
The delivery obstacles set out above are considered events attributable to the User’s conduct or occurring within the User’s sphere of interest; therefore, in the event of withdrawal, the Company is entitled to the delivery fee.
Right of withdrawal from the purchase in the case of Users qualifying as Consumers
The Consumer has the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
- Withdrawal/termination deadline
- In the case of a contract for the sale of a product, the deadline expires after 14 days from the day on which the Consumer or a third party designated by the Consumer, other than the carrier, takes delivery of the product.
If the Consumer wishes to exercise the right of withdrawal/termination, the Consumer must send a clear statement containing the intention to withdraw/terminate (for example by post, fax or letter sent electronically) to the Company’s address. For this purpose, the Consumer may use the Withdrawal/Termination Declaration Form provided by the Company in the Confirmation or downloadable from the Company’s website.
The Consumer exercises the right of withdrawal/termination within the deadline if the Consumer sends the withdrawal/termination statement before the expiry of the above deadline.
- Legal effects of withdrawal/termination
- If the Consumer withdraws from this contract, we shall reimburse all consideration paid by the Consumer without delay, but no later than within 14 days from receipt of the Consumer’s withdrawal statement, including carriage costs (except for additional costs arising from the Consumer’s choice of a carriage method other than the least expensive standard carriage method offered by the Company). The Company uses the same payment method for the reimbursement as was used in the original transaction, unless the Consumer expressly consents to the use of another payment method; the Consumer shall not incur any additional costs as a result of this method of reimbursement.
In the case of a contract for the sale of a product, the Company may withhold reimbursement until it has received the product back or until the Consumer has provided proof that the product has been returned (the Company takes the earlier of the two dates into account).
The Consumer is obliged to return or hand over the product to the Company without undue delay, but no later than within 14 days from communicating the withdrawal statement. The deadline is deemed to have been met if the Consumer sends the product before the expiry of the 14-day deadline.
The direct cost of returning the product is borne by the Consumer.
The Consumer may be held liable for any decrease in the value of the product only if it results from use exceeding the use necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the product.
Supplement to the model information under the Government Decree - Exceptions to the right of withdrawal regarding the webshop products; that is, the Consumer may not exercise the right of withdrawal in the following cases:
- a) in the case of a non-prefabricated product made on the basis of the Customer’s instructions or at the Customer’s express request, or in the case of a product clearly personalized for the Customer;
- b) in the case of perishable products or products that preserve their quality only for a short period;
- c) in the case of a sealed product which cannot be returned after opening following delivery for health protection or hygiene reasons (e.g. food supplements);
- d) in the case of a product which, by its nature, is inseparably mixed with another product after delivery.
- e) in the case of a non-prefabricated product made on the basis of the Consumer’s instructions or at the Consumer’s express request, or in the case of a product clearly personalized for the Consumer;
- f) in the case of a product which, by its nature, is inseparably mixed with another product after delivery;
- g) in the case of the sale of sealed audio or video recordings or computer software copies, if the Consumer has opened the packaging after delivery.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to a business, that is, to a person acting within the scope of their profession, independent occupation or business activity.
Warranty
Warranty – commonly known as “guarantee” – means that the party providing the warranty (seller) is liable for proper performance in such a way that, in the event of a quality complaint arising during the warranty period, it is released from liability only if it proves that the cause of the defect arose after performance, typically due to improper use or handling of the product by the consumer.
A warranty claim may be enforced within the warranty period.
The mandatory warranty period is 1 month – failure to meet this deadline results in forfeiture of rights – and its starting date is the handover of the product to the User who purchased the product.
Within the framework of the (mandatory) warranty, the Consumer may request replacement of the product in the case of a quality complaint arising during the warranty period.
The business must strive to carry out repair or replacement within no more than fifteen days, calculated from the time the replacement product is returned to the party providing the warranty.
If the Company or the repair service has not carried out the replacement within 15 days from receipt, or if this is not possible (e.g. due to lack of stock), the consumer is entitled to spend the amount as store credit.
In the event of transfer of ownership of the thing, the rights arising from the warranty may be enforced by the new owner against the party undertaking the warranty.
Implied warranty rights of the User
Implied warranty means that, regardless of the type of product sold, the Company (the seller of the product or the party performing the service) is liable for the defect of the product (more precisely, for a defect resulting from a cause already existing in the product at the time of purchase).
Within the scope of warranty, the customer is obliged to prove their “case”, meaning that the cause of the defect already existed in the product at the time of purchase and that the defect was not caused by improper use by the customer. In the case of warranty, there is a rule applicable to consumer contracts – that is, this rule does not apply to buyers who do not qualify as consumers under the Civil Code – and forming an exception to the main rule, according to which, in the case of a defect discovered within 6 months from performance, it must be presumed (deemed) that the cause of the defect already existed at the time of performance.
The Company’s implied warranty liability is objective, meaning it is independent of whether the Company knew that it had sold a product affected by a defect (more precisely, by a defect cause).
The Consumer is obliged to notify the defect without delay after discovering it, but no later than within 1 month from discovery of the defect.
- Other rights and obligations concerning Consumers
- The Consumer may, at their choice, exercise the following implied warranty claims:
- may request replacement, unless fulfilment of the chosen implied warranty right is impossible, or unless it would result in disproportionate additional costs for the business compared with fulfilment of another warranty claim, taking into account the value represented by the service in flawless condition, the gravity of the breach of contract, and the harm caused to the entitled party by fulfilment of the implied warranty right; or
- If the requested product is not in stock, the Consumer may request another product of equivalent value, or may use the amount later if the requested product becomes available again.
The Consumer may switch from the chosen implied warranty right to another; however, the Consumer bears the cost of switching unless it was justified or caused by the Company.
After the limitation period has expired, implied warranty rights may no longer be enforced.
When enforcing an implied warranty claim – during the entire warranty period, meaning there is no exception here – the Consumer must prove the conclusion of the contract. If the Company disputes the conclusion of the contract, it draws the Consumer’s attention to the possibility of making a complaint and to the method of complaint handling.
The Company considers the conclusion of the contract proven if the Consumer presents the document proving payment of the consideration – an invoice or receipt issued under the Value Added Tax Act.
The Company records consumer objections (notification of warranty and guarantee claims) in the document entitled “Minutes on consumer complaints” published by the Ministry of National Development, on the basis specified in NGM Decree 19/2014 (IV. 29.) on the handling of warranty and guarantee claims relating to goods sold under contracts between consumers and businesses.
Product warranty rights for Consumers
Under product warranty, the manufacturer is directly liable to the Consumer for defects in a movable item, but only to a Consumer in the legal sense.
In the case of product warranty, a product is defective if, at the time it was placed on the market (when the specific product leaves the manufacturer’s control, and not when the product type appeared on the market), it does not meet the quality requirements in force or does not have the characteristics described by the manufacturer.
The manufacturer is liable under product warranty for two years from the date the product is placed on the market. This enforcement deadline differs from the implied warranty deadline in that it is not a limitation period but a forfeiture period, meaning that after it expires, no product warranty claim may be enforced.
Rights arising from product warranty pass to the new owner in the event of a change of ownership.
The Consumer may exercise a product warranty claim only against the manufacturer or distributor of the movable item. In the case of enforcing a product warranty claim, the Consumer must prove the defect of the product.
The Consumer may primarily request repair from the manufacturer. If repair is not possible within an appropriate deadline or without prejudice to the Consumer’s interests, the Consumer may request replacement. Monetary remedies, price reduction and withdrawal are therefore not available, since no contract has been concluded between the manufacturer and the Consumer, and therefore no “money transfer” or withdrawal from a contract can take place.
The manufacturer (distributor) is released from product warranty liability only if it can prove that:
- it did not manufacture or place the product on the market within the scope of its business activity, or
- the defect was not recognizable according to the state of scientific and technical knowledge at the time the product was placed on the market, or
- the defect of the product resulted from the application of legislation or a mandatory official regulation.
For release from liability, it is sufficient for the manufacturer (distributor) to prove one reason.
Complaint handling
First, contact the business with your complaint (the business’s complaint handling method)
The Company strives to resolve complaints arising from Consumers “in-house” and to remedy them as soon as possible to the Consumer’s satisfaction.
The Consumer may communicate to the Company, orally or in writing, any complaint relating to the conduct, activity or omission of the Company, or a person acting in the interest or on behalf of the Company, directly connected with the distribution or sale of goods to consumers.
Handling oral complaints
The Company immediately examines any oral complaint received and remedies it if necessary. If the consumer does not agree with the handling of the complaint, or immediate investigation of the complaint is not possible, the business records minutes of the complaint and its position relating to it, and provides a copy thereof
- a) in the case of an oral complaint communicated in person, to the consumer on the spot,
- b) in the case of an oral complaint communicated by telephone or using another electronic communications service, to the consumer in writing with a substantive response no later than within thirty days from receipt of the complaint. If the Company rejects the complaint, it provides reasons for its rejecting position to the consumer.
The minutes taken of the complaint contain the following:
- a) the consumer’s name and address,
- b) the place, time and method of submitting the complaint,
- c) a detailed description of the consumer’s complaint and a list of documents and other evidence presented by the consumer,
- d) the business’s statement on its position regarding the consumer’s complaint, if immediate investigation of the complaint is possible,
- e) the signature of the person taking the minutes and – except in the case of an oral complaint communicated by telephone or using another electronic communications service – the consumer’s signature,
- f) the place and time of taking the minutes,
- g) in the case of an oral complaint communicated by telephone or using another electronic communications service, the unique identification number of the complaint.
In the case of an oral complaint under Act CLV of 1997 on consumer protection (communicated by telephone or using another electronic communications service), or an objection made in another manner, the Company uses the minutes template published by the Ministry of National Development:
In the case of a written complaint
The Company responds in writing to a written complaint received by the Company within thirty days from receipt and sends the response to the Consumer at the same time; if the complaint is rejected, the response also contains the reasons for rejection.
In the event of rejection of the complaint – whether oral or written – the Company informs the Consumer in writing, in addition to its rejecting position and the reasons therefor, about which authority or conciliation board procedure may be initiated with the complaint, depending on its nature. The information also includes the seat, telephone and Internet contact details, and mailing address of the competent authority or of the conciliation board according to the consumer’s place of residence or stay. The information also covers whether the business uses the conciliation board procedure for the purpose of resolving the consumer dispute.
The Company keeps the minutes taken of the complaint and a copy of the response for five years and presents them to the inspection authorities upon request.
The Company receives consumer complaints at the following contact details:
- Postal mailing address
- Kaméleon Textil KFT., H-1097 Budapest, Soroksári út. 164..
- E-mail address
- online@kameleontextil.hu
Second, use the Online Dispute Resolution Platform
Domestic businesses are obliged to cooperate with domestic conciliation boards; otherwise they may receive a consumer protection fine. The online conciliation website is also advantageous for company representatives, because it saves time and money, as neither they nor the consumer need to appear in person. The dialogue between the disputing parties and the board takes place entirely online, and their settlement proposals can be made with a few clicks.
After a simple registration and login, you can easily submit your complaint through the online conciliation website. The complaint submitted in this way is forwarded to the Conciliation Board.
Once the case has been referred to the conciliation board, a decision is made in the dispute resolution procedure within ninety days at the latest; extension of the procedural deadline is possible only in exceptional cases. The procedure takes place entirely on the Internet, which is the greatest advantage of this dispute resolution procedure, since neither the Consumer nor the business needs to travel and they can conduct the Conciliation Board procedure from home over the Internet.
Further information on the Online Dispute Resolution Platform is available through the link placed in the footer of the website.
Complaint handling directly with the involvement of the Conciliation Board
The Company uses the conciliation board procedure for the purpose of resolving consumer disputes, fulfilling its statutory obligation.
The purpose of the Board’s procedure is to close disputes arising between consumers and business organizations, that is businesses, by settlement between the parties. If no settlement is reached, the Conciliation Board decides the matter by its decision, taking into account the fast, effective and simple enforcement of consumer rights.
The conciliation board has competence for out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes relating to goods and services
- quality and safety,
- and the application of product liability rules,
- as well as the conclusion and performance of contracts
through out-of-court settlement of related consumer disputes.
This means that if a service provided under either a sales contract or a business contract does not comply with the law or with the contract, the buyer or customer may turn to the Conciliation Board. It is important that conciliation may be initiated only by the consumer as a private individual.

As a last resort, contact the Authority
If your complaint has not been remedied by either the Company or the Conciliation Board, as a final solution you may contact the territorially competent district office.
From 1 January 2017, consumer protection authority tasks have been performed in a divided manner by the Ministry of National Development, the Pest County Government Office and the country’s 197 districts.
In consumer protection authority matters, district offices act at first instance. A distinction is made between district offices of county seats (whose competence extends to the whole county in certain matters) and district offices (whose competence extends to the territory of the district).
Consumer protection complaints may be submitted to any district office; however, it is important to know that not every district handles every consumer protection matter. (If the subject matter of the submitted complaint does not fall within the jurisdiction or competence of the given district, that district forwards it to the appropriate place.)
In certain highlighted areas, only district offices of county seats have competence.
It is worth contacting (non-county-seat) district offices in cases beyond the above, such as
- display of unit prices and selling prices,
- handling of quality complaints concerning products,
- suspected failure to comply with, or unlawfulness of, information obligations related to warranty and guarantee,
- irregularities related to general commercial terms,
- serving tobacco and alcohol products, as well as sexual products, to minors.
The search tool for the territorially competent district office is available at the following link:
And, if no other solution remains, as the very last resort, turn to Court
If the above procedures do not lead to a result, you may turn to the Court competent according to your place of residence in order to establish the fact of breach of contract and the validity of the warranty claim.
Data protection
For the purpose of creating, determining the content of, modifying and monitoring the performance of the contract aimed at providing information society services, invoicing the fees arising therefrom, and enforcing related claims, the Company may, on the basis of law and without the Consumer’s consent, process the natural personal identification data and address necessary for identifying the Consumer.
The Company processes the personal data provided by the Consumer exclusively in accordance with the content set out in the Privacy Notice.
The current version of the Privacy Notice is available at all times through the link placed in the footer of the website.
Term of the contract
These GTC were published on 2020.01.05.
These GTC, as a contractual legal declaration made electronically, become effective when they become accessible to the User, and in the case of a contract for the sale of products, the contract is concluded for an indefinite period and remains in force until revoked or until the date of publication of a new version-numbered GTC.
Final provisions
The Company is entitled to amend the GTC unilaterally.
It is prohibited to download, electronically store (except for downloading and storing the GTC and website information exclusively for personal purposes), process or sell the content appearing on the website or any part thereof without the written consent of the Company.
If any part of these GTC becomes invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, this shall not affect the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining parts.
If the Company does not exercise a right to which it is entitled under the GTC, failure to exercise the right shall not be deemed a waiver of that right. Any waiver of any right is valid only in the case of an express written declaration to that effect. The fact that the Company does not insist strictly on an essential term or provision of the GTC on one occasion does not mean that it waives the right to insist on strict compliance with that term or provision in the future.
Hungarian law shall govern matters not regulated in these GTC and the interpretation of these GTC. The mandatory provisions of the applicable laws shall apply to the parties without any separate stipulation.
