Its two-sided anti-pilling treatment reduces pilling, ensuring long-lasting aesthetic appearance. Composition and structural characteristics
Microfleece 190g is a knitted material made from 100% polyester, providing a lightweight yet warm sensation. The 190 g/m² weight places it in the light-medium category, making it excellently suited for layered dressing and as a lining material as well. The anti-pilling treatment on both sides reduces the formation of pilling, so the material retains its original surface for longer.
One of the important structural features of the material is the use of DTY (Drawn Textured Yarn). This yarn type undergoes a special mechanical texturing process, during which the fibres become crimped, slightly “fuzzier”. As a result, the material becomes bulkier, more elastic and significantly softer, with a woollier feel.
The use of DTY yarn results in a more matte surface, while the material becomes richer and fuller in feel. The crimped fibres are able to trap more air within the structure, which significantly increases thermal insulation capacity. This property makes classic polar fleece textiles particularly effective at retaining heat.
The 150 cm width allows for economical cutting, especially for larger surfaces. The microfibre structure together with the DTY technology ensures good heat retention and breathability.
Applications
