Belonging to the polar fleece base materials, Microfleece 300g is a thick, excellent-thermal-insulation synthetic textile, designed specifically for cold weather conditions. The greater material density and the soft, fluffy surface provide warm, comfortable wear, while the material remains durable and well load-bearing.
Composition and structural characteristics
Microfleece 300g is a knitted material made from 100% micropolyester, providing easy handling, durability and good shape retention. The 300 g/m² weight places it among the thick polar fleece textiles, giving it outstanding heat-retaining properties. The 150 cm width allows for economical cutting and versatile use.
One defining feature of the material is the use of DTY (Drawn Textured Yarn). This special yarn undergoes a mechanical texturing process, during which the fibres become slightly crimped, “fuzzier”. As a result, the material becomes bulkier, more elastic and softer to the touch.
Thanks to the DTY yarn, the surface of Microfleece 300g has a more matte appearance, while giving a richer, woollier feel. The crimped fibre structure is able to trap more air, which significantly increases the material's thermal insulation capacity. This property makes it one of the most important base materials among classic polar fleece textiles.
The brushed surface further enhances the sense of comfort, while the material remains breathable, providing a pleasant sensation even during extended wear.
Applications
