Composition and structural characteristics
Satin is made from 100% polyester, which provides the material's durability and shape retention. The 90 g/m² weight places it in the lightweight category, so the material has a soft drape, moves finely and drapes well.
As a result of the satin weaving technology, one side of the material is shiny and smooth, while the back side has a more matte appearance. This structure provides an elegant, subtly shimmering effect, particularly suitable for occasion and decorative use.
The 145 cm width allows for efficient cutting and economical material use. The polyester base material is easy to handle, wrinkles less and holds its shape well.
Applications
Satin can be widely used in women's and occasion fashion, for example for making blouses, elegant dresses, skirts, scarves and wraps. The shiny surface and soft drape provide an elegant appearance.
For nightwear, it is used as a base material for robes, nightgowns and pyjamas, where the silky feel and lightweight structure are advantageous.
