Waterproof poly/nylon is a 60% polyester and 40% nylon, PU-coated lightweight textile with water-repellent properties and a durable structure, weighing 90 g/m². With approximately 600 mm water resistance, it is suitable for protection against lighter rain. The 147 cm width allows for economical cutting, making it ideal for making raincoats, jackets and bags. Versions with a different fibre composition can be found among the PU-coated water-repellent fabrics.

Belonging to the coated water-repellent fabric base materials, Waterproof poly/nylon is a lightweight textile made from 60% polyester and 40% nylon with a PU coating, standing out for its water-repellent property and durable structure. The 90 g/m² weight and 147 cm width make it ideal for lightweight outerwear and technical use.Waterproof poly/nylon is a modern, functional fabric that combines the advantageous properties of polyester and nylon. Polyester provides stability and shape retention, while nylon increases tensile strength and the material's abrasion resistance. The PU coating covering the surface contributes to the water-repellent capacity and provides a water column of approximately 600 mm, so the material is suitable for protection against lighter rain and moisture. For more persistent rain, the water column of the TPU film laminated versions gives a greater reserve.
Material composition and structural characteristics
The combination of 60% polyester and 40% nylon results in a lightweight yet strong textile that withstands everyday strain well. The PU coating forms a protective layer that helps keep moisture out, while the material retains its flexibility and handling. The same synthetic structure without a coating is available among the polyester fabrics.
