Belonging to the water-repellent fabric with TPU film base materials, Waterproof fabric with tpu is a technical textile made from 100% polyester laminated with a TPU membrane, providing high waterproofing and breathable properties. The 104 g/m² weight and 148 cm width make it ideal for outerwear and outdoor use.Waterproof fabric with tpu is a modern, membrane-based textile that combines a polyester base material with a functional TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) layer. This membrane effectively prevents water penetration while allowing vapour to escape, so the material provides comfortable wear even during extended use. With a water column of approximately 5000 mm, the material provides reliable protection even in more intensive rainfall.
Material composition and structural characteristics
The 100% polyester base material provides light weight, good tensile strength and durability. The TPU membrane forms a flexible, waterproof layer that, thanks to its microporous structure, also remains breathable. Versions made without a membrane, with a surface coating, can be found among the coated water-repellent fabrics.
The 104 gsm weight places this material in the lightweight category, ideal for technical apparel and accessories. The 148 cm width can be well applied for various cutting patterns, ensuring efficient material use.
Applications
